About Me

Welcome, I’m Cheryl — your mindfulness, yoga and hypnotherapy practitioner at The Mindful Pod.  If you’d like to know a little more about my background and approach, you’re in the right place.

My background 

I began practising hypnotherapy in the UK in 2010, working mainly with people experiencing anxiety and panic attacks. Through this work, I saw how deep relaxation, mindfulness, and hypnotherapy help lower stress and support a calmer, more regulated nervous system.

Personal experience

Becoming a mum showed me how important this worrk was for entire families.  The more grounded you are a a parent the better you can show up for your children. Introducing mindfulness and yoga to children enables them to start to gain real life practical tools to help their own regulation.

Yoga

Through both my professional experience and my parenting journey, I expanded my skills to include yoga for adults and children, with a particular focus on meridian-based yoga. This gentle, structured approach supports calm, focus, and emotional regulation, and complements neurodivergent nervous systems, including ADHD and ASD.

Present day 

Now living in Victoria, Australia, I balance a busy life by the sea with the work I love. My own experiences have shaped a grounded, compassionate approach that brings mindfulness, yoga, and hypnotherapy together in practical ways.

I work with adults and children through small classes, 1:1 sessions, and online offerings, supporting calm and regulation in everyday life.
