My goal is for children to learn a practical toolkit of skills to use in the real world.

Mindfulness and Yoga for children offers a natural calm, fun way for children to practice new skills that can really help them in the real world.

 

The aim of each session is to practice yoga, mindfulness, breathing techniques and relaxation techniques.

 

A great way to introduce children to mindfulness and yoga is through our 1:1s or small workshops, ideal for children 8+

Yoga 

Yoga helps children’s physical and mental wellbeing and children enjoy practicing it. I incorporate parts of meridian yoga into workshops to help kids practice moves that are used  to help bring the body back into balance through focused movements and breath.

Simple and fun and easy to follow.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is such a great tool for children to allow both the body & mind to calm through practicing being in the present moment.

This can be taught through practical 
playful games and activities as well as slower more thoughtful ones.

 

NLP

Anchoring is a very powerful yet simple technique to help restore calm to the body. I can blend simple elements of this into mindfulness and relaxation to help have calming anchors to remember in the outside world.  

This is a great tool to help anxious feelings.

Relaxation

It is a great skill for children to learn to relax through focused visualisations can not only help them relax and reduce anxiety as well as increasing self esteem and confidence.

SImple breathing exercises are so easy to take into different environments so your child knows they can use their techniques whenever they need calm.

Is this suitable for all children?

I focus on a real blend of yoga, mindfulness and relaxation on a 1:1 basis.  As a guide sessions are designed for children 8 & up.    If your child is younger please drop me a line to discuss. 

Are the sessions groups or individual?

I mainly work 1:1 with and tailor each session to help their specific needs.  If you are interested in classes let me know and I will inform you when I have some scheduled.

 

Who are these sessions designed for?

Mindfulness and yoga is beneficial for everyone particularly those looking to decrease anxiety, increase confidence and self esteem.  They are not to replace any therapy of Drs advice.
